Composing the right shot for the SanDisk Sequence category in the 2010 Image Quest is no easy task. The technique is often used in action and adventure sports, but putting together a sequence photo for the first time can be daunting.

Which is why we asked Swedish photographer Johan Stahlberg to show how it’s done. During a shoot with freeskier Oscar Scherlin on Austria’s Hintertux glacier, Johan positioned himself on a large jump and used a fisheye lens and tripod to capture the trick.

Check the video to see out how Johan put the final image together.

Equipment details:

Camera: Canon Mark II N
Lens: Sigma Fisheye 2,8 15mm
Shutter speed: 1/1250
Aperture: f.5
ISO: 100
Photos per second: 8,2

Johan used Adobe Bridge and Photoshop to edit the sequence.
