Blue Block Challenge Winner!

Two weeks ago we asked you to predict the total amount of photos that would be submitted to the Red Bull Illume Image Quest 2010.

At the time of asking with nearly a week left before the submission deadline closed on February 28, there were less than 12,000 images uploaded to the competition and it seems nobody expected anything like the 22,764 images that were eventually entered.

So, despite being a hefty 4232 away with his guess of 18532, our Blue Block Challenge winner is Carlo Cruz from Long Beach, California. Carlo wins a Red Bull Illume prize pack including SanDisk memory card and reader, poster, sticker sheet and 2007 Image Quest coffee table book.

"I wish I can say it was an educated guess," says Carlo. "It was 12,000 when the challenge was announced so I just added 1,000 images a day
and came up with the number.

"I guess nobody expected that it would go to the 20K mark!"

Carlo - himslef a photographer specializing on bboying - also submitted images into the competition. "I can't wait to see the results," he says.
