First One Thousand Images Submitted

The first one thousand images have been submitted to the Red Bull Illume Image Quest 2010, well above the level at the same point during the 2007 Image Quest.

Almost 500 photographers from 57 different countries have registered for the competition and so far the quality has been extremely high.

In 2007 a total of 7000 photos were submitted by 2000 photographers. It's expected that a large amount of submissions will be made in the final month since many entrants will use the upcoming Northern Hemisphere winter season to (hopefully) capture their best shots.

Any photographers who have already selected their best action and adventure sports pictures are requested to register and submit them as soon as possible.

The submission phase closes on February 28, 2010 and the fifty finalists will be announced in May 2010 after the judging phase. Registration can be done here and  the Image Quest rules are available here.
