Continuing its mission to revive instant analog films for Polaroid cameras, Austrian firm The Impossible Project have released their latest product. The PX 600 Silver Shade film will be launched at events in Barcelona, London and New York throughout the end of April and is made for Polaroid's most popular series, the 600.
The PX 600 is only available for purchase via the company's website and comes hot on the heels of the PX 100 Silver Shade film produced for use with Polaroid SX70 cameras. Each pack takes eight black and white photos and costs a cool €18.
For the millions of Polaroid 600 camera owners around the world, The Impossible Project's products are a welcome revival for a medium thought to have run its course.
Impossible Project founder Florian Kaps said the new film "is a highly astonishing material that will zoom all the lovers of Polaroid cameras back into the good old days when every single shot was a wonderful exciting instant adventure."
"This is another major step into the bright future of analog instant photography."
A color film is due for release in June 2010. More details can be found on www.the-impossible-project.com.
