Red Bull Illume partner SanDisk have upped the ante in the professional photography memory card market, recently launching the new Extreme Pro CompactFlash card line.
The cards which have storage capacities ranging from 16 to 64GB feature a new Power Core Controller which enable them to achieve read and write speeds of 90MB/sec.
Jeff Lewis, a member of SanDisk's Extreme Team of professional photographers says he relies "on a speedy camera and high-performance SanDisk Extreme Pro cards to capture as many images as possible within a few seconds using continuous burst mode."
"How fast you can download and edit images from the cards makes a big difference when it comes to getting sports images distributed. The first images out of the media room tend to be the ones that get picked up. Speed really counts for getting selected by the top photo editors."
The Extreme Pro CompactFlash memory cards are available in 16, 32 and 64GB sizes and can be purchased from the Sandisk website, www.sandisk.com.
