I grew up playing in the woods and mountains on the east coast of the United States. Playing in the mud, rain and snow always felt more natural than playing the more traditional childhood sports. As I grew older I gravitated towards mountain biking, eventually racing as a professional.
Photography was never a passion from the beginning. But I have always been mesmerized by images in magazines so I always had the appreciation for fine imagery.
In 2012 I bought my first camera as a way to document my own travels and experiences, eventually pointing the lens at some friends at a few mountain bike events and on local trails and I was immediately hooked. Realizing I could possibly create inspiring images like the ones I obsessed over as a kid lead me into a new world of self discovery.
Completely self taught, and in just a few short years I was able to commit to shooting action sports full time and today proudly call it a career. It’s one that has afforded me the opportunity to travel the world and work with some of the best athletes on the planet in stunning locations as well as foster relationships with some of the outdoor industry’s most influential brands. Simply put, a camera has given me the best job in the world, and I hope my images are out there inspiring the next generation of photographers.
