I first picked up a camera at the age of 14, spending all my free time shooting rolls of film and spending hours developing images in the darkroom. In parallel to becoming a professional photographer, I spent seven years creating, developing and producing product launches for New Zealand’s largest corporations. I found myself working with various types of multi-media from theatrical lighting, interactive video and graphics, and even pyrotechnics. My travels around NZ, Australia and the Pacific led me into a period working in television production.
My passion for photography has allowed me run a successful business for well over a decade. Through my work I have seen amazing areas of the country and worked with incredibly talented people. I have been lucky enough to be part of world record wingsuit attempts, creating and shooting ad campaigns in studios and outdoors, and have met some of the world’s most amazing athletes. I love shooting action sports and lifestyle and I take pleasure in the days when the outdoors can be my office, but I am at ease in a studio environment too.
I live in Rotorua, which has some of the best MTB trails in the world, so when I’m not shooting or editing you can find me out riding my bike. I also enjoy surfing, kite surfing, snowboarding and even maintaining the MTB tracks in Rotorua. I’m thankful for the great clients and the experiences this profession has given to me.
