I am Canadian born but have called Japan my home for the last 13 years. Although I picked up photography in high school, it was coming to Japan that first got me active within action sports photography.
Through the invite of my good friend Japanese FMX rider Daice, I photographed my first FMX event back in 2006. A couple of these photos made the pages of a Japanese motocross magazine, which was a thrill for me to say the least. From then on I have continued to cover Japanese FMX whenever possible, while also taking many opportunities to branch out into various other disciplines such as BMX, breakdancing, DJing, mountain biking, and many more.
I love all kinds of photography, but it is the thrill and excitement of action sports, the passion of the athletes and performers, and the challenge of capturing creative and innovative images that keeps me enthralled with action sports photography.
