In A Flash: Photographing Skiers during a Solar Eclipse From bright sunlight to extreme low light in a matter of minutes. Check out how photographer Reuben Krabbe photographed skiers during a full solar eclipse in Svalbard. 03/10/2016 © Reuben Krabbe For our latest video in our In A Flash series, photographer Reuben Krabbe talks us through his infamous Salomon Eclipse shoot. Finding out about an impending full solar eclipse, Reuben had a crazy idea. He wanted to shoot backcountry skiers in Svalbard during the eclipse. He took his idea to Salomon, who helped him realize it. Reuben travelled to Svalbard with athletes Brody Leven, Cody Townsend and Chris Rubens to ride some of the most epic backcountry. Sounds easy, right? Add a solar eclipse to the mix and the shoot time is suddenly severely cut down, from hours to a matter of minutes. Can you think of a bigger challenge than shooting skiers during a solar eclipse? Watch the full Eclipse video here.
