I took this photo during the summer version of the freeride and photography event, Nine Knights in Livigno. I had a couple of different ideas that I wanted to try for the creative angle category.
This was one of the ideas I had. I wanted to create a kaleidoscope by using three mirrors, and my plan was to buy this on the way from the airport in Milan to Livigno.
But when I arrived all stores were closed so it was not available to buy! My plan was to buy big mirrors, and here I was without.
So my search and hunt for mirrors started in Livigno. To find mirrors in a ski town is not the easiest, the only ones I found were the small makeup ones. I bought three of those and took the mirrors out of the makeup case and made my kaleidoscope lens. I tried a couple of different ones, action and lifestyle, and here is one of the results of shooting a portrait of Thomas Genon through it.
