Over the last 2 years I’ve been working on a personal project entitled, 'Soul Carve'. Using a custom made skateboard outfitted with LED lights, the goal was to capture the skater's choice of lines and the energy generated from pumping through transitions via long exposure. The key factor and true test of the athletes ability was that this had to be performed in the dark. Dubbed "riding by braille", it took a few sessions of broken bulbs and bruised egos. Eventually we got the shot. Just needed to pour a lot of love, a little light, and some soul in bowl.
