This image was taken in the Blue Mountains in Australia. I had scouted this location a few years back when shooting trail running for a client. It is an amazing place right at the edge of a 150 meter high cliff above the ancient Grose Valley. Standing there, taking it all in I wondered what photos of this smooth ridge would look like with a bike rider on it. Feeling the exposure, I knew it would require a confident rider. Luckily, I met Dave Ludenia who I think was born with his bike already clipped to his feet.
On the day we arrived early. We wondered around the location taking a few shots here and there. Just before sunset we “accidentally” ended up at the ridge line. Before I could say anything, Dave was on it. "How about if I jump off this little drop dude?"
"Yeah man, just don't fall to the left, we are not shooting BASE jumping."
