The mountains in Hurrungane have always been attractive to me. They are alpine, high (for Norway) and mysterious. The mountain range is called "the home of giants", and it is not without reason. When you are up here, you really feel like you are in the land of the giants.
I have wanted to do this climb for many years. It is a long and steep ridge through some of the highest mountains in Norway. The climb is so long that we decided to stay overnight. It is quite nice to experience the sunset and sunrise up here as well.
In the picture we have found our camp for the night. Up here, mountain climbers have spent the night for many decades, so we found a nicely built "shelter" for the wind. Joar Frækaland has crawled into the sleeping bag, and is enjoying the last bits of the freeze-dried dinner.
