I am a Mexican photographer/photo editor/ musician, based in Mexico City. My work is focused on portraits, food, and travel photography; as well as my personal work as an artist. I started photography when I was a teenager and I have never taken a break from it. I have been working as a photographer and photo editor for magazines and books all of my professional life. I also love sports. Many of them. I practice trail running and triathlon, so I am deeply interested in sports and action photography. That’s why I find it really motivating to be part of the jury for this amazing competition.
Since 2019, I own an independent editorial house with my partner called Print Matters, focused on developing any kind of project that can be printed on paper. We have covered different themes and authors, now getting to our 11th publication in Mexico.
My relationship with photography is absolutely deep. I am totally involved with, both as a photographer but also as a photo editor for thirty years now. I have directed many magazines in Mexico and I was also the chief of the photo area of a huge editorial (magazines and books) company in Mexico, for 18 years. I also have been a photographer working around the globe for many years catching the best chefs, restaurants, hotels, people, and natural spots all around the world.
