It all started in 2006... I would love to philosophize now about how I couldn't help but become an event and sports photographer because of my enthusiasm for technical bells and whistles or my fascination with the perfect picture. But really I just wanted to go to the coolest parties, festivals and shows for free.
My second passion was mountain biking, more precisely dirtjump. I couldn't do many tricks, so I photographed my friends who were more into it. In the beginning, all the pictures were skewed (learned from party photography) and nobody liked them. After a few years of visiting every bike and freestyle event in Switzerland, I also became the main photographer at the Swatch Rocket Air in Thun, Switzerland and the pictures went around the world. Since then I have been able to work with many athletes and I always return to biking for creative image ideas.
I am constantly expanding my photographic skills and am inspired by all kinds of sports. Meanwhile, Ido highly professional work in business and sports photography. But one thing has stayed with me from my early party days: Everything is fine, only boredom is taboo. At my photo shoots, intuition and imagination can be just as guiding as pragmatism and a clean-technical style. The main thing is that the atmosphere is good and the finished photographs attract the desired attention.
