Based in Los Angeles, California. Originally from South Florida, he takes inspiration from the vibrant culture of Miami, focusing his work on uncommon and colorful architecture. His surrealist cityscapes, composed of his own photography, strive to capture the spirit of a city. These cityscapes serve as a celebration of the city’s identity through the colorful depiction of each of its known neighborhoods. They pay homage to communities by highlighting recognizable and iconic architectural elements, as well as documenting and preserving their rich and personal history. His artwork as a whole explore the intersection of place and culture through built environments, representing the locality and uniqueness of these places. These artworks are created by collaging together digital images in Photoshop. Each composite can contain hundreds of images, which are seamlessly stitched together into a virtual cityscape. Soria’s work has been exhibited in cities across the US including Miami, Los Angeles, Baton Rouge, San Francisco as well as being featured in several art publications including Juxtapoz, Hi-Fructose, Plastik, and more.
