My name is Cam McLeod and I am a photographer based in Ogden, Utah. Growing up along the sandy shores of Lake Michigan and now calling the Wasatch front my home, I am forever influenced by my surroundings and beautiful landscapes. From amazing stretches of beach and great bodies of water to the grandeur of mountains that seem to reach towards something unobtainable, I draw inspiration from these places and their people. The human experience and its relationship with nature is a constant theme in my work and I feel is something I could spend a lifetime exploring.
My photographic journey did not begin with a camera, it began with a razor blade and magazine clippings. As a child I studied the gallery sections of action sports magazines like Powder, Thrasher and Surfer. My favorite images would find a home on my bedroom walls until there was no more wall space to be found. This bedroom gallery collection was an amazing source of inspiration. I had no idea that 20 years later I would be working as a photographer and maybe somewhere a kid is cutting out one of my photos to be hung on their wall.
