Growing up in Carinthia, the southernmost part of Austria, surrounded by mountains and lakes, nature has always been an important part of my life and more recently, also my work. I have been into water sports and board sports from an early age and I also love to play ice hockey.
I currently work in the field of advertising photography, primarily covering the tourism and hotel industry, but also various different enterprises. I would say that sports and action photography is my hobby.
I first discovered my passion for photography while traveling the world with my friends. I was an avid wake- and snowboarder and always carried a camera with me. After suffering a number of injuries, I started to invest more and more time exploring and learning photography by myself. While working as a Production Logistics Specialist for a large corporation in Austria, I spent my spare time researching all about photography. As I became increasingly dissatisfied with my job, I decided to hand in my resignation and enrolled in the Austrian Academy of Photography in Salzburg. I have been working as a freelance photographer ever since 2014 and I have never looked back.
I love what I do and I consider myself very lucky to have been able to turn my passion into my career.
