I live just north of Detroit in Royal Oak, Michigan. I started photography when I was 13 years old, capturing friends riding BMX and playing in bands. Back then I was burning through roll after roll of film and had to get a job at a local shop building bikes to feed my photography obsession.
One of my first gigs as a photographer was shooting concerts for Real Detroit Week-ly. This allowed me access to photograph thousands of bands over the years and really helped my networking. After a while I shifted my focus to the rebirth of Detroit. I started mixing the dramatic city landscapes with my action sports, BMX, and skate-boarding photography. Nowadays, I work as a freelance photographer under the name Camera Jesus and plan to travel the world.
