I write this just after shooting a four day MTB expedition around the French Alps with a rad group of like-minded, mountain-loving folk, enjoying the wonders of the outside world all by the power of legs and wheels. Had you have asked me ten years ago, fresh out of school, what I thought I would be doing now... that definitely would not have been my answer. I grew up with a passion to give everything a go, football, rugby, skateboarding, BMX, all sorts... and then I found mountain biking. I was hooked and I quickly found my friends and I out in the woods shovelling mounds of dirt and trying stupid things. After borrowing my mother’s camera once and, fuelled by images of sideways drifting and epic single track scenes, we went out to create our own. Several years on from there and many roosted faces full of dirt, rain soaked cameras and endless high fives later; I find myself shooting bicycles all over the world for both commercial and editorial clients and working with some of the greatest athletes the sport offers. Each day I feel truly blessed to be combining my passions into my work.
