I am a climbing photographer based in Switzerland. As a long-time climber myself, I have always been fascinated by the aesthetic of climbing movements in beautiful sceneries. When I first took a camera climbing, I immediately realized how beautiful it is to capture such fractions of a second. Since then, my camera is always with me when climbing.
I love how climbing photography allows you to capture these brief moments of full determination and power in a climber, melted together with nature, in a creative way that tells a far larger tale than a single frame.
Most of my images are raw moments, non-planned photo shoots. I try to understand the climbing the athlete is doing. Predicting the next move of the climber to be ahead with the perfect composition. Always trying new techniques, improving my skill and learning from previous mistakes.
My photography style is wider landscape shots that encapsulate more of the environment to show the scale of the mountains with the climber in it.
