I wasn't born close to the mountains, but I lived just far enough away from them to know that they were a special place for me to escape to. Growing up in Northern Virginia put me just far enough away from them to escape on the weekends in the endless pursuit of fly fishing and mountain biking.
That desire to become closer to the mountains led me to pack my bags and move out west for college to the University of Utah where I am currently a junior pursing a degree in marketing. I'm proud to call Salt Lake City my home, and the Wasatch Mountains my stomping ground.
Photography became a part of my life in middle school when I took a film photography course. Ironically I never finished the class due to the teacher taking a leave of absence, but it ignited a fire in me that still burns today. When I was 15 I convinced my parents to pay for half of a DSLR for me to continue this passion. I ended up assisting my middle school photography teacher who was a full time professional at this time. He helped me craft my passion into what is now my full time job.
I'm beyond lucky to live every free moment in the mountains pursuing and documenting athletes in their endless pursuit of their sports.
