Last night marked the opening of the Red Bull Illume exhibition in Red Bull's legendary Hangar-7 in Salzburg. A great turnout included a number of action sports photographers, athletes, Dr Andreas Kaufmann, the chairman of Leica and Ulrich Grill, founder of Red Bull Illume.
Hangar-7 is next to the Salzburg airport and the exhibition runs from December 11th to February 15th (excluding December 23rd to January 2nd). Hangar-7 is home to the historical Flying Bulls aircraft fleet and a collection of Formula 1 race cars.
“Hangar-7 is so cool,” joked Red Bull Illume winner Lorenz Holder, “I think I will bring my three-year-old twin boys here – but I think they will be more interested in the airplanes!”
Salzburg is the eighth tour-stop of the exhibition since it was first unveiled in Hong Kong in 2013 and will be its longest, so it's an opportunity not to be missed.
